The studio in motion

Events

Installations, set builds, and gatherings — the work as it was made and as people met it.

01 — Installation

All My Favorite Colors

Hundreds of discarded plastic bottles, sorted by colour and strung from a white timber canopy, turned a plain room into a shifting field of light. Visitors walked beneath the work as the sun moved across it, the floor and walls catching whatever colour fell through. It is the studio's recurring question made literal — what a material becomes once it stops being waste.

02 — Set design

GH Queens

A room built from a single sketch: terracotta walls, a classical plinth, a pleated red lantern, and an arch opening onto a painted dusk sky. GH Queens was an exercise in scenography — every surface painted, aged, and lit so that a set assembled in days would read as somewhere with a much longer past.

03 — The Sankofa Project

Revival

The Sankofa Project taken outdoors — a garden gathering under white canopies, with the workshop running alongside it: timber on the lathe, a leg taking shape in a cloud of shavings. Less an exhibition than an afternoon, where the making stayed visible and the finished pieces stood among the guests.
